We would like to inform all residents and businesses that over the coming
weeks there will be changes to traffic management and some road
closures to enable the project to proceed safely. We have designed these
measures to safeguard everyone on and around the site and to keep
disruption to a minimum.
Full closure A435
Until 22nd of September 2025
The A435 remains fully closed between the Hyde Lane / Southam Lane
junction and Cheltenham Racecourse Roundabout. The road will open to
southbound traffic only from 6am on the 22nd of September.
Bishop’s Cleeve Roundabout
Temporary traffic signals (4-way, overnight)
22nd to 5th of October 2025 (19:00–06:00)
Temporary signals will be in operation to enable installation of road duct
crossings.
Hyde Lane / Southam Lane Junction: Closures & Works
Temporary Mini-roundabout installation
5th of October (20:00) – 6th of October (06:00)
Full junction closure to install a temporary mini-roundabout and switch off
existing signals.
Diversion routes will mirror those used for the current closure, with
additional provisions for Hyde Lane and Southam Lane residents, detailed
route can be found on the right and on our website.
